To accomplish this, the committee provides ongoing investment and support to ’s existing members and works closely with architects, specifiers, floorcovering mills, and manufacturers of floor-related tools and materials through outreach efforts.

To launch , the committee partnered with the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committees (JATC) to create the curriculum. Today, is not only meeting industry standards, it’s setting them. An evolving curriculum, based on counsel from technical and educational representatives from major mills and manufacturers throughout North America, drives training.

Now regarded as the leading multi-year, industry-endorsed training program in the world, standards are certified by the labour departments of the Canadian and United States governments.
